No Partners on B’way Dive Bar Astoria

Posted on January 17, 2008. Filed under: Astoria, Off the beaten path |

To say No Partners on Broadway (21st Avenue and 29th Street). is a dive bar would be an understatement. You won’t find hipsters in this authentically local bar. Still, they offer cheap drinks, neighborhood conversation, music, a pool table, and live entertainment- albeit unintentionally. The classic red bar stools, neon signs and spacious interior offer an old school look to this dark and dingy watering hole. The meaning behind the name is baffling- considering the bar is no where near Broadway. Although the name remains a mystery there’s no question about why people go there: to drink with the locals.

When is $4.25 for a Bud a cheap drink? Oh yeah, they have a special, a 5 bucket of Buds for $19.00, do the math.
