Is it okay to place part of this in my personal weblog if I submit a reference to this site?

Thank you for some other informative website. The place else may I am getting that kind of info written in such a perfect approach? I’ve a venture that I’m simply now working on, and I have been on the look out for such information.

Hello C. Smith,
A very nice blog. Congratulations!
I thought I would tell you a little about Community Environmental Center in Long Island City. We are a nonprofit dedicated to helping small businesses, home owners and owners of residential buildings, and institutional building go green — we consult and contract for cellulose insulation, solar thermal installations, local law compliance, LEED. Anything that has to do with helping New Yorkers live and work green.

I’d like to let Queens businesses know that we will be at the Long Island City Partnership Trade Show on November 16. We’ll have a booth. So if any of your readers are interested in learning how to make their business greener and more energy efficient, we would be delighted to talk with them.

Many thanks,
Alexis Greene

Credit Union for Queens Residents!

Hello all, just writing to spread the word about Qside Federal Credit Union.

If you live, work, go to school or worship in certain areas of Queens, you’re eligible to join! If you’re not sure what a credit union is, it’s pretty much just like a bank, only better because it’s a not-for-profit and therefore provides interest & dividend rates that benefit its members — not it’s stockholders (since there are none!). Qside offers mortgage loans, car financing, Visa credit cards at really low rates (like 8.9%!) and many more loans, plus free checking accounts with interest, online banking, and all sorts of savings accounts.

Just visit http://www.qsidefcu.org to apply or learn more about membership. Many reputable publications have pushed the benefits of credit unions, like this New York Times article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/19/your-money/brokerage-and-bank-accounts/19money.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=credit+union&st=nyt.

Hi! I’m always looking for Blogs about the “third” borough, and there don’t seem to be the glut that one can find about BK…so I was really glad to see yours! I’m just starting my own, and invite you over to visit (though I haven’t really posted anything about Queens yet–but will do so soon: http://cattyinqueens.wordpress.com). My ‘hood ain’t quite as hoppin’ as yours (not the hippest demographics in Fo-Hi), so there’s not as much subject matter most of the time. Still, good to connect with others who write and live around the way!

How about checking out Thalia Spanish Theatre in Sunnyside? We’ve been the borough’s only bilingual Hispanic theatre for over 32 years & last month received the 2009 Mayor’s Award for Arts & Culture.

Hey–I am a fellow Queens blogger. I run a blog about my unemployment called Jobless and Less. Here are a couple Queens-related posts…

Just wanted to let you know I’m here.

thanx so much for posting about the show at HellGate.
yer so awesome!! 🙂

I’m born and raised in Queens, a longtime Astoria resident (over 10 yrs now)

Being a hometown girl, I thought you guys might be interested in a project I’m developing where I write and record one song a week for a year – I’m on week 8 and it’s all up here:

I am booked to play quarterly shows at Hellgate Social in Astoria to showcase the songs I’ve written in that quarter – with lots of special Queens guests (Ms. Angela Bowers of Cudzoo and the Fagettes and Hugo Nowhere of just about everything are just a couple I’ve enlisted so far.)

The first show is scheduled for Thursday, 9/24.

Would love it if you guys could cover this in ur kick-ass blog. It’s kind of a homegrown project, steeped in Queensness.

thanx for listening to me shamelessly self-promote.
and thanx for covering my fave burrough so awesomely
I check ur stuff often.

I’m writing to follow up on my last email. I’m a co-founder of Coovents.com, NYC’s most useful happy hour service. My team and I are expanding Coovents to include other hyper-local events.

One of our new features will allow you to take our events and put them on your site. Your readers will stay on your site so you will generate new pageviews. Also, we have built-in social features so people can share these events, which will attract new readers.

Please let me know if you’re interested.

Talk soon,
