Volunteer at PS1

Don’t know how to spend those lazy Saturdays from July through  September? Volunteer at PS1- some perks include increasing your knowledge of art, getting a tan, and meeting new people from various walks of life. Here is an excerpt from their website that tells you a little more about it-

Volunteer at Warm Up!

P.S.1 is seeking responsible and energetic volunteers to assist with this summer’s experimental music and DJ series. Warm Up takes place on ten Saturdays between 2pm and 9pm, July 4 through September 5. Warm Up volunteers will assist with various aspects of the event including staffing information tables, assisting with line management, and managing water stations and coat check.

LIC Artist at ION Studio in NYC May 14th

I met Erika almost a year ago-once- at a party. I never forgot her kind exchange with me.  Ever since then she’s been sending press releases, such as the one below. The Mexico City native travels the world displaying her art that is produced in her LIC studio– finally she is back in NYC to present her mystical paintings and photos at the Ion Studio. Her feminine arrangements create colorful images swirling on a canvas of  intrigue and edginess. Go see her work for yourself next week-

NYC Bike Month in Queens Tour de Queens

100_0396May is Bike Month is NYC. Get off your couch and hop on that beautiful piece of metal to show this city that YOU own the road. Feel the wind against your face and sweat like you mean it in the 22 mile  Second Annual Tour de Queens. Registration begins May 26 for the July 12th bike tour- that will start in Flushing Meadows park and take you all over your favorite boro’ For more information visit
