If you want to learn more about the progressive Working Family Party, come to the Astoria Brewhouse Thursday July 1st. Here is what the notice I received said about the event:

Working Families Party Happy Hour Event in Astoria!

The Working Families Party (WFP)is a political organization that is a grassroots coalition between community organizations, elected officials and activists dedicated to addressing issues concerning working class families such as living wage jobs, affordable housing, affordable health care and quality education.

We would like to invite you to the WFP Happy Hour in Queens this Thursday, July 1st at The Brewhouse (2850 31 Street in Astoria) to meet and talk with WFP leaders, supporters, and others who are interested in learning more.

When:
Thursday, July 1
6-8pm

Where:
The Brewhouse
2850 31 Street, Astoria
(N,W trains to 30th Ave)

(Domestic beers will be $4, wine $5; and of course, you must be at least 21 to drink.)

There is no need to RSVP and we won’t be asking you to sign anything or donate any money. It’s just a great chance to learn more about what the WFP is all about and to meet other locals who are interested in progressive politics.

For more information, you can contact Peter Kim at 347-471-7097 or pkim@votewfp.org

We hope to see you there!
