“MOVING IMAGE MASTERPIECES
October 1–November 19, 2009

AT QUEENS THEATRE IN THE PARK

The first collaboration between Queens Theatre in the Park and Museum of the Moving Image, this series brings international classics to audiences in the former New York State Pavilion in Flushing Meadow Corona Park on six Thursday evenings. All films will be presented in digital projection on a big screen, in the 464-seat auditorium of Queens Theatre in the Park. A sampling of half a dozen of the greatest, must-see films of all time, Moving Image Masterpieces is the first dedicated film program to be presented by Queens Theatre in the Park. Each screening will be introduced by David Schwartz, chief curator of Museum of the Moving Image, who organized the series.

Queens Theatre in the Park is located in Flushing Meadow Corona Park. Tickets are $8 per film for Museum members and $10 per film for non-members ($8 per film with a multi-film discount). A special introductory film series pass for all six films is available for $30.”
