Here are some Queens weekend highlights:

20070706_falu_bFalu Indian/Indie rock at Flushing Town Hall Sunday December 7th 2pm FREE– She’s from Bombay- part indie rock, part Bollywood, part classical…her music is unique even in today’s world. Take a listen on her website– hear her rendition of the classic Bollywood song Dum Maro Dum or a more contemporary piece called Same Rainrock with Indian influences slightly reminiscent of Asha Bohsle… mixed with Monsoon Wedding and guitar rock. 100_0635Head over to Long Island City for the opening reception of the 2009 Art-o-Mat gallery calendar Sunday 7-10 at Domaine Bar 50-04 Vernon Blvd LIC #7 Vernon/Jackson… and for  a calendar sneak peek see LIQCity… to your right  you will see December.

Saturday night see the fight at No Partners on Broadway-(21st Ave & 29th Street near Ditmars)  Astoria’s local dive bar. Prop yourself up on the bright red stools, play some pool and mingle with the locals while you watch De La Hoya vs Pacquiao in the fight of the year…


Museum of the Moving Image may have moved (temporarily) while undergoing massive additions and reconstruction, but the Behind the Screen exhibition is still open in the LIC/Astoria location- and you can see it for free.
