Greenpoint’s Paloma Restaurant Burns to the ground

Posted on November 6, 2008. Filed under: Greenpoint, LIC |

This is a sad day in 718 history. One of my favorite resturants- Paloma, the new American cuisine eatery sparked a fire and burned to the ground (almost). Here is one first-hand account of what happened in Curbed/Eater NY.  Besides offering great food, they were located in a somewhat quiet and secluded area in Greenpoint- right across the street from the historical pencil factory. It was a great place to walk or bike to from LIC during the warmer months- as my companion and I did several times last summer. It was considered “our place” Here is the Local718 review… may this great establishment rest in peace and hopefully it will be resurrected someday in the future.
