La Superior Mexican Food in Greenpoint Brooklyn

La Superior – Mosey on over to 295 Berry Street (718-388-5988)- to a restaurant that brings authentic Mexican cuisine straight to Williamsburg. Among all the trendy hipster venues in Brooklyn, this place is the real deal. A few blocks from the crowded Bedford Ave sits the small taqueria offering traditional Mexican fare that’s difficult to find anywhere else in the city. La Superior offers “street style” foods and entrees. Some of the stuff I tried were one of its many tacos made with sauteed mushroom, epazote and garlic, the Gordita- chorizo and potato and- the Ezquites, which is corn cooked in epazote leaves, with cheese, lime and Mexican mayo. It is adorned with red walls, old Mexican movie posters and an original advertisement for La Superior- its namesake- the famous blond beer of the south. Check out the menu and be one of the first to try it!
