Family Corner's Cheese Burger

Diners don’t get much better than this.  Family Corner is a Queens diner but minus the bad service, sketchy servers, mediocore food, menu too extensive to navigate, and late night drunks.  The food here, mostly consisting of NYC diner staples, is great.  Admittedly I haven’t tried all the menu, but the mushroom/feta omelette, chicken fingers (the best I’ve ever had), and soups stand out.  They have scrumptious-looking daily specials that I’ve yet to try.  From the cozy, small dining area to the friendly, very efficient staff this place stands out in the sea of Astoria diners.  Be aware, those with the midnight munchies will be out of luck.  Family Corner is open during normal restaurant hours.

OK, I can now comment on their daily specials. YUM. They’re great! Probably as homecooked as you’ll find in Astoria.
