Albatross (gay) Bar- Astoria

Posted on January 26, 2008. Filed under: Astoria, Entertainment |

Albatross– Self proclaimed as the “Friendliest bar in Astoria” it lives up to its name.  The dark and slightly dingy bar is set up with a pool table in the middle of the floor, a small stage in the back and free popcorn. Albatross is located at 36-19 24th ave, which sets it apart  from the raucous of the main avenues. This quiet tree-lined corner is calm during the day, but don’t be deceived.  There is tons happening at this tiny dive bar practically every day of the week and Albatross welcomes everyone to share in the festivities. Mondays offer $5 martinis, friday nights exhibit the most talented locals for singing karaoke and Saturday is drag queen night.
