Mezzo Mezzo and Belly Dancing Astoria

Posted on January 16, 2008. Filed under: Astoria, Entertainment, Greek, Outdoor Seating/Patio, Pan European |

Mezzo Mezzo  (31-29 Ditmars Blvd) dishes out fine authentic Greek cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. The spacious interior is constructed with wooden beams, floors and ceilings for a truly homespun experience. This restaurant features a raw bar and a satisfactory wine selection. This two story establishment on Ditmars blvd also hosts private parties and public belly dancing. Arrive on a Wednesday or Saturday night around 10pm for dinner and a bottle of wine . By the time you’re finishing your keftedes kebob topped with rice or stuffed veal, you’ll be serenaded with live world music and a belly dancer. After that, who needs to order dessert?

Belly dancing is one of my favorite forms of cardio! It’s so much fun and helps me melt the pounds away like nothing else. Have any of you every tried Big Apple Belly Dance in NYC? A friend told me they have a promo going on with buywithmeNYC offering one free beginner session for just $10! You can find more about the deal here:

Belly dancing!!! Such a great workout and so much fun to do at fun events!! I’ve told all my girlfriends to try it out – especially at Big Apple Belly Dance because it’s more centrally located than Astoria. You can get in a beginner’s class for only $10 and an at-home private session for only $59! Here’s the link

service is good, but bad, bad food. so-so wine.
