Freeze Peach Tea Cafe- Astoria

Posted on January 17, 2008. Filed under: Coffee/Tea Shop, Entertainment |

Unfortunately- Freeze Peach- is CLOSED… maybe for good. Check out Astorians.com to read the latest on Astoria’s favorite tea cafe. It will be missed by many- RIP

Freeze Peach  provides a relaxed friendly environment with no pretense. It’s sort of like sitting in your Great Aunt Pearl’s basement- minus the fine herbs and raunchy make-out sessions with what’s-his-name. Freeze Peach is a great place to go to surf the internet, sip tea, meet weird people, and exercise your… free speech. This cafe opens around noon and offers an array of home blended gourmet teas, pastries, those crunchy little Japanese rice cakes and so much more. Local artists display their work on the walls and the green market gathers outside during the summer. They also have live entertainment and social functions meeting at various days of the week.
